AXTech AS is an engineering company offering heavy duty lifting/ material handling equipment for the international marine and offshore industry.

Typical equipment is special winches, A-Frames with lifting/ pulling capacity of up to 1000 tones, and other devices for material handling on ships, platforms and production vessels.

Currently we have 34 permanent employees. Our sales for 2008 will be NOK 100 mill.

We welcome extrovert and structured persons with economic and practical skills for managing our projects. Some technical background is preferable.

The following tasks are connected to this position:

Project management of our national and international projects.
Contacts with clients, colleagues and joint venture partners.
Managing for budgets, plans and variation orders.
Arrangement of internal and external project- and status meetings.
Assisting in preparation of project documentation.

We search for colleagues who can work independently and in a team in a typical engineering environment. The Project Manager must always promote changes and variation orders on the projects.

We seek professionals to work on design of steel constructions and mechanical devices. The job includes development and engineering of our products from idea, through bid stage and to final product.

The following tasks are connected to this position:

Supervision in development of required documentation.
Design and calculation of new products.
Development of component specifications and responsability for purchasing of required equipment.
Development of technical specifications and functional descriptions, maintenance instructions and other relevant documentation.

We are looking for persons with relevant theoretical background and preferably also some practical experience. Our hydraulic department makes design and purchasing of hydraulic systems for our equipment. The job may also include assistance during commissioning and testing. This may be in a workshop or/ and during installation in Norway or abroad.

The following tasks are connected to this position:

Calculation and design of new hydraulic systems.
Component specifications and purchasing of required equipment.
Contribution during assembly, commissioning and start-up of our products.
Technical specifications and functional descriptions, maintenance instructions and other relevant documentation.

We are looking for persons with relevant theoretical background within electrical power supplies and/ or programmable logic controllers (PLCs) incl. instrumentation.

We develop a number of different products which are PLC-controlled and operated by touch-screen panels. We mostly use Schneider PLCs. Program language is Unity Pro/ PL7, Vijeo Designer and some C++.
Electrical diagrams are made in E3/ AutoCAD.

Our colleagues in electrical/ control department participate in project from development and throughout to testing and realization of the finished product.

The following tasks are connected to this position:

Calculation and design of electric power and control systems.
Component specifications and responsibility for purchasing of required equipment.
Programming of PLCs and displays.
Inspection at sub-suppliers and surveying existing equipment.
Contribution during assembly, commissioning and testing/ start-up of our products in Norway or abroad.
Technical specifications and functional descriptions, maintenance instructions and other relevant documentation.

You must be familiar with the most common computer software such as Word, Excel, Project etc. Our corporate language is English. For most of the positions some travelling should be expected. Offshore safety course will be arranged by us in case you have not completed one.
