PORTABLE A-FRAME

The A-frame is built as a self contained unit which can be mobilized and demobilized on the various vessels as one unit. The unit is suitable for shipping overseas by disassembling it into three separate parts.
The hydraulic pump unit is built into the foundation for easy connection to electric power supply.



The A-frame is operated by remote control and the vessels anchor handling winch is to be used as the lifting force.

This unit is suitable on five new vessels from Farstad which has same fundament footprint in deck.
Max outreach: aft: 16,4m. Forward: 10,2m.

Stillingen har det overordnede ansvaret for selskapets økonomistyring og planlegging samt administrative
oppgaver. Økonomisjef vil inngå i selskapets administrative ledergruppe.

Arbeidsoppgaver:
  • Ledelse av økonomiske og administrative rutiner i virksomheten, inkl. datterselskap.
  • Ansvar for forvaltning og utvikling av regnskaps- og rapporteringsprinsipper, lønn, budsjett og prognosearbeid.

AXTech deliver Plough Handling Equipment to Far Samson

Far Samson
Far Samson is the most powerful offshore vessel ever built. It is a multi functional vessel capable of doing heavy ploughing operations for pipelines on seabed, as well as subsea installation work. Max bollard pull is 423 tonnes. Far Samson was awarded “Ship of the Year 2009” by Offshore Support Journal.  

Plough handling equipment
The Plough handling equipment on deck of the Far Samson is designed and delivered by AXTech AS, Molde, Norway.

The system comprises
  • 1 off 315T wide angle A-Frame
  • 2 off PTS (Plough Transport System) trolleys
 
315T A-Frame
The special designed AXTech A-frame has a capacity of 315T at an outreach of 18,5m (58 deg.) aft, and  10,6m (33 deg.) forward . It is operable in sea-state 5 conditions and handles the huge Ploughs safely between vessel and sea. The A-frame is operated by two pairs of hydraulic cylinders and equipped with load measuring device for control and monitoring of actual load. The A-frame is developed in close co-operation with ship owner (Farstad Shipping) and operating company (Saipem) and is unique in design and performance.

In the Cross member a special Stabilizing Frame is installed.

This unit is hydraulically operated and works in two modes: In “Dampening mode” and “Active mode”. The Active mode is used to install Docking Bullet into and out of the Plough. Dampening mode is used during lift. The Stabilization Frame keeps the Ploughs from twisting and sideways movement during launch and recovery operation. It also guides the Ploughs safely through the splash zone. Another special feature in this unit is that it is designed for operation at single fall lifts. 



Plough Transport System (PTS)
On deck of the vessel it is installed a rail system on which the Plough Trolleys are operating. It is one Trolley for the Main Plough and one for the Backfill Plough. The Trolleys are operated by a specially designed AXTech system for safe operation in offshore conditions. Wireless control is used for operation. Both trolleys are designed for handling a load of 250T. The dimensions of the Trolleys are approx 200m2 and 250m2.

The special design of vessel and PTS system allows for both ploughs being on vessel at the same time which is a great advantage for the ploughing job. 
 
   

AXTech 600T pull-in winch to Peregrino.

The Peregrino FPSO will be operated in the Peregrino field, located in the Campos Basin approximately 85 kilometers offshore Brazil. The field is to be designed with the FPSO and two drilling platforms.
 
The FPSO will be operated by Maersk A/S. The 600T pulling capacity AXTech winch shall handle the disconnectable Submerged Turret Production Buoy (STP) delivered by APL. The 600T pulling winch is one of the biggest and most powerful winches delivered by AXTech up to now. The winch is specially designed for using fiber rope as pulling line.

By this delivery AXTech is strengthening its position as supplier of heavy duty lifting equipment.

The Chinook Cascade FPSO shall be installed in the US Gulf of Mexico and conversions, installation and operation to be done by BW Offshore Limited.

The FPSO will be installed on the Chinook Cascade fields in the beginning of 2010. Production will commence in the first quarter of 2010.

The 850T pulling capacity AXTech winch shall handle the huge disconnectable Submerged Turret Production Buoy (STP) delivered by APL.

The 850T pulling winch is the biggest and most powerful winch delivered by AXTech up to now.
The winch is specially designed for using fiber rope as pulling line, but shall also operate as “conventional” Riser pull-in winch using steel wire. By this delivery AXTech is strengthening its position as supplier of heavy duty lifting equipment.
   

AXTech and SAS Gouda join forces

SAS, a Dutch manufacturer of specialized equipment to both the international oil & gas and maritime industries, have acquired 33,34 % of Norwegian company AXTech. The remaining shares (majority) are held by the AXTech management. With SAS as a shareholder and industrial partner AXTech wants to broaden its position as supplier of engineered deck equipment for the marine and offshore industry.

Contract award for 2 sets of 250T A-Frame w/compensator.

This is AXTechs biggest contract up to now. 2 sets of 250T (SWL) A-Frames together with in line AHC Compensators and Hydraulic Power Units shall be delivered to Special Subsea Vessels. All units designed for bolting to deck.

AXTech to supply Pull-in Winch.

AXTech has received contract for delivery of Pull-in Winch with capacity of 400T. The winch shall be used for installation of flexible risers and anchors on an FPSO on Tupi field. Designed for steel wire rope. This is a special fast track project which is a challenge for all parties involved.
