World’s first DNV type 3 gangway certification

Tectrans Flexbridge has achieved DNV Type 3 gangway certification, becoming the world’s first gangway certified to this category.
The certification marks an important step in expanding safe and reliable crew transfer capabilities between fixed and floating offshore assets.
With Tectrans Flexbridge now certified as both Type 3 and Type 4, we offer a flexible gangway solution capable of supporting a wide range of offshore applications, says Andreas Ludvigsen, Director Technology and Development at AXTech.
Earlier this year, AXTech delivered its first Tectrans Flexbridge gangway, certified as a DNV Type 4 gangway for fixed-to-fixed applications. With the newly obtained Type 3 certification, the system is now approved for fixed-to-floating applications, increasing operational flexibility for offshore operators.
